Privacy Policy

InnoExec Ventures (“InnoExec”, “we”, “us”)
Ancaster, Ontario, Canada
Last updated: October 10, 2026

This policy explains what personal information we collect through innoexecventures.com, why we collect it, who sees it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). If you live elsewhere, including the United States, we apply the same practices to you.

Who is responsible

InnoExec Ventures is responsible for the information described here. Our privacy contact is Yohai Ararat, founder: contact@innoexecventures.com. Send privacy questions and requests there.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry (Get Started form)

  • Your name, email address and, if you choose, your phone number.
  • Business details you give us: company name, industry, location or markets, website, size and revenue ranges, current stage, timing, decision deadline, and your description of the decision or challenge.
  • Any documents you upload (up to five files, such as financial statements, plans or data).
  • Whether you agreed to be contacted and whether you agreed to optional AI analysis.
  • A short-lived technical record used to limit repeated submissions. It is a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address, it expires within minutes, and it is not used to identify you.

When you use the contact form or newsletter sign-up

  • The name, email address and message you type. These forms email your details to us; the website does not keep a separate list of them.

When you become a client

  • Engagement records: scope, analysis, reports, approvals, and invoice details (billing name, company, amounts).
  • Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor (Stripe). We do not see or store your full card number.

Automatically, when you visit

  • Standard server logs: IP address, browser type, pages requested and time.
  • We do not run advertising trackers or analytics tools.
  • The site uses only cookies needed for it to work. Your in-progress enquiry answers are kept in your browser’s session storage so a rejected form does not lose them; they stay on your device and are deleted when you close the tab or send the enquiry.
  • Fonts are served from our own server, so your browser does not contact Google or any other font provider.

Why we use it

  • To reply to you and decide, with you, whether and how we can help.
  • To prepare and deliver the assessment or analysis you asked for.
  • To invoice you and meet tax and accounting duties.
  • To protect the site from spam and abuse.
  • To send occasional insights only if you have asked for them. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.

Your consent

We collect and use your information with your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box on the form or by becoming a client. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal and contractual limits, by emailing us. Withdrawing may mean we cannot continue an engagement.

AI-assisted research (optional)

If you tick the optional AI box on the Get Started form, we may use AI research tools to help prepare your assessment. Today that means OpenAI, which is located in the United States.

  • What is sent: your company name, industry, location, website, size and revenue ranges, stage, timing, decision date, your written description, an excerpt of text extracted from the documents you uploaded, and our own analysis notes.
  • What is not sent as separate fields: your name, email address and phone number. Please do not put personal details of individuals in the description or documents; if they appear there, they would be included in what is sent.
  • We use OpenAI’s business API. Under OpenAI’s published API terms, information sent through the API is not used to train its models by default, and may be kept for a limited period for abuse monitoring.
  • Information processed outside Canada is subject to the laws of that country, and courts, law enforcement or national security authorities there may be able to access it.
  • A person at InnoExec reviews the research before anything is included in a report to you.

If you do not tick the box, we do not send your information to AI tools.

Who else sees your information

  • Our service providers: web hosting (Vultr), email, payment processing (Stripe), and, if you opted in, OpenAI.
  • Professional advisers such as our accountant or lawyer, under confidentiality.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.
  • If InnoExec is sold or reorganised, your information may transfer to the new owner under the same protections.

Some of these providers store or process data outside Canada, mainly in the United States.

How we protect it

Uploaded documents are stored in a private location that is not reachable by a web address. Access to the site’s admin area is limited to InnoExec. Forms are protected against automated abuse and cross-site attacks, and the site is served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will tell you and the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, as the law requires.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become engagements: 12 months after the last contact, then deleted or anonymised.
  • Client engagement records and reports: 7 years, to meet tax and record-keeping rules, unless you ask for earlier erasure and the law allows it.
  • Uploaded documents: deleted 90 days after the engagement ends, or on request.
  • Server logs: up to 90 days.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • correct it;
  • delete it, or restrict how we use it;
  • withdraw your consent.

Email contact@innoexecventures.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Children

This site is for business use and is not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Our pages may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we will update the date at the top. For significant changes we will tell people who have an open engagement with us.
